6. Machine preparation
Before each operation, make sure that the head adapter assembled on the machine matches the mechanical expander with the diameter with which
you will be processing (see following table).

6.1 Disassembly of the head adapter
1. Unscrew the safety socket screw with the 2.5 mm Allen key supplied. When the socket screw has been
loosened, unscrew the adapter head from the machine body.
2. Operate the machine on jog (to avoid automatic start-up) until the conical pin's locking socket screw can be
inspected.
3. Completely unscrew the conical pin's locking socket screw and extract the conical pin.
6.2 Assembly of the adapter head
1. Insert the conical pin in the centre of the hole and screw the pin's locking screw up to the stop so that the
conical pin is fastened to the machine.
2. Complete the machine's stroke until it reaches the starting position and tighten the adapter head up to the
stop, then tighten the safety screw until it stops.
3. The operation is completed. Ensure that the conical pin is adequately greased. Now assemble the
mechanical expander of the required diameter.
