LED Function of Battery Pack
•
After 30-60 minutes, including charging time, the lights will automatically shut off.
•
During use, pressing the button will turn on the lights showing how much charge is left on the battery. The lights will
automatically shut off after 3 to 5 seconds.
•
When battery pack reaches 70ºC , the built in thermal protection will stop the unit to protect the battery from damage.
Remove the battery pack from the unit and allow it to cool to below 50ºC . Once the battery has cooled, you may reinsert
the battery and resume the job.
•
During charging, if battery temperature reaches 50ºC , the thermal protection will be activated and charging will be
halted. When battery cools to less than 45ºC, charging will resume. It is advisable to remove the battery from the
charger and allow ample time for cooling so the battery can be fully charged without interruption.
•
If battery temperature is below 0ºC , battery cannot be charged. Charging will begin when battery warms to over 5ºC .
NOTE:
•
The battery pack will become slightly warm to the touch while charging. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
•
When using a tool continuously, the batteries in the battery pack will become hot. You should let a hot battery pack
cool down for approximately 30 minutes before attempting to recharge.
•
The charger and battery pack should be placed in a location where the temperature is more than 10°C but less than
40°C.
•
40V lithium-ion batteries are designed with features that protect the lithium-ion cells and maximize battery life. If the tool
stops during use, release the trigger to reset and resume operation. If the tool still does not work, the battery needs to
be recharged.
•
If at any point during the charging process none of the LEDs are lit, remove the battery pack from the charger to avoid
damaging the product. Do not insert another battery.
