Use
1. before using the appliance for the first time, please fill the kettle with water to the maximum level and
allow it to boil. Pour the water away and repeat the process.
2. Always unplug the kettle from the wall socket when adding or refilling water.
3. Fill the kettle to the desired level with water. Do not overfill the kettle as water may splash out. Do not
forget to close the lid after filling.
4. Do not fill the kettle with less than 0.5 litres of water (up to the "MIN" mark) to prevent the kettle from
running dry.
5. Do not fill the kettle with more than 1.8 litres of water (up to the "MAX" mark).
6. Your kettle has an automatic safety switch to protect against overheating. It switches off if the kettle is
switched on and contains too little water. Always make sure that the water in the kettle is filled to at
least the minimum level. When the safety switch has turned off the kettle, unplug the kettle and let it
cool down for 5 to 10 minutes. Then fill it with water again and switch it on.
7. Place the base unit on a dry flat surface.
8. Place the kettle on the base unit. The power connection is made automatically.
9. Plug the cable into a grounded socket.
10. press the "ON" button. The kettle will now heat up and a beep will sound. When the water has boiled,
the display goes out and a few beeps sound.
11. When the water has boiled, the kettle will switch off automatically.
12. Only remove the kettle from the base unit if you have switched it off first!
13. to pour water, lift the kettle from the base unit and pour.
Advanced operation
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. The kettle heats up and enters the keep warm mode. A
beep sounds. The red indicator lamp lights up after the water has been boiled. The kettle maintains the
temperature at 85 degrees for 2 hours. The indicator light remains on. 2.
Press the plus/minus button. The indicator lamp for 60 degrees lights up green. The heating element
switches off when the water temperature reaches 60 degrees. Press the "plus/minus" key twice. The
indicator lamp for 70 degrees lights up blue. The heating element switches off when the water
temperature reaches 70 degrees. Press the "plus/minus" key three times for 80 degrees and four times for
90 degrees.
Descaling
Descale the appliance regularly. In normal use, at least twice a year.
1. Fill the kettle to the maximum level with a mixture of vinegar and water. Switch on the appliance and
wait until it switches off automatically.
2. Leave the mixture in the kettle overnight.
3. Pour the mixture away the next morning.
4. Fill the kettle to the maximum level with clean water and boil it again.
5. Pour away the water to remove any residual mixture.
6. rinse the inside of the kettle well with clean water.
