∙ Before use, and again after every 15
minutes' operation, put a few drops of
acid-free oil between the trimming comb
and the trimming blade and then switch
the appliance on briefl y to ensure that the
oil is evenly distributed. Regular oiling will
guarantee good cutting performance over
a long period and a long service life.
Battery pack disposal
∙ This appliance contains a nickel-metal
hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable battery
pack, which must be removed for
disposal. To remove, fi rst disconnect the
appliance from the mains. Use a small
screwdriver to remove the lower housing.
Undo both screws and take out the lower
part.
∙ Undo the next four small screws. Now
separate the black grip area from the
silver-coloured housing by pulling and
slightly turning it at the same time.
∙ Take out the battery pack and carefully
cut the connecting wires coming from the
battery pack, one by one. Ensure that
the battery back is not short-circuited by
mistake.
Do not dispose of the
rechargeable Ni-MH battery
pack contained in the
trimmer / shaper in your
domestic garbage. All
batteries must be disposed of through the
proper local 'special garbage collection
points'.

If the product fails to operate and needs
to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing
your name and address and the reason for
return. If within the guarantee period, please
also provide the guarantee card and proof
of purchase.
