teries in the correct orientation as shown in the figure.
After batteries are inserted, the display blinks as
in section "Setting the Clock and Alarm".
Replacing the batteries
If the display becomes dim, replace the batteries with new ones.
The sound may become noisy if the battery power is low.
Remove exhausted batteries immediately. Otherwise, a malfunction may occur, or the
batteries may leak liquid. Also, remove the batteries if you plan not to use the amplifier
for a long period of time.
Using the AC adapter (optional)
Connect the AC adapter to the DC 9V jack on the right side. If no batteries are
installed when the AC adapter is connected, the display blinks as in section
"Setting the Clock and Alarm".
We recommend installing batteries so the radio station frequency as well as times for
the clock and alarm are saved when the AC adapter is unplugged.

The clock and alarm display the time only in the 24-hour format.
The alarm is a function that automatically turns on the radio at the specified

It may not be possible to receive a radio broadcast from rooms in the center of an
apartment or building. In that case, place the radio near an opening (window or
door) facing outside as much as possible. In addition, reception may be improved
by extending the antenna and adjusting its angle for FM stations or facing the
radio toward the AM radio station.
FM stations are normally received in stereo; however, if the radio waves are weak,
the station may automatically be switched to monaural, which has less noise.
