Read this manual completely and carefully
before installing the unit.
This manual is an integral part of the scope of
delivery and must be kept until the unit is
disposed of.
1.
General
Pfannenberg cooling units with electronic control can also be
delivered with a control unit (Pfannenberg Multi-Controller). This
unit allows the switch cabinet internal temperature to be continuously
controlled, certain parameters to be adapted to the exact conditions
of use, errors to be evaluated, and the unit to be controlled, set, and
read by an optional remote visual interface accessible from out-
side.
ATTENTION!
With the exception of DIP switch 8 for the Multimaster
setting, the use of the Pfannenberg Multi-Controller
disables parameter setting via the DIP switches on the
controller circuit board.
The following parameters can be set from the control unit:
Switch cabinet internal temperature setpoint
Hysteresis limits for switch cabinet internal temperature setpoint
Upper temperature limit Tmax from which an error warning will
be sent
Lower temperature limit Tmin from which an error warning will
be sent
Conversion of temperature display between °C and °F
Switching of display mode 'only TS1', 'only TS2', 'TS1/TS2' al-
ternately
The following actions can be initiated from the control unit:
Activation of test mode
Selection of the last 30 application errors
Selection of the last 30 equipment errors
Return to default factory settings
Selection of the firmware version
All parameters and actions may be set or initiated either from the
four available buttons on the unit or using a PC or laptop via the
optional remote visual interface.
8
All parameter settings are stored in a non-volatile memory and will
be retained even during an extended power outage.

10.Visual interface (optional)
Serial infra-red interface for connecting to a PC/laptop (interface
can be connected directly with an RS232 interface of a PC via
an infra-red sensor head with a magnetic mounting)
The following data can be presented in display 1:
On connecting to the mains
1) Display of the currently recognised temperature sensor
(coded as in Table 1) for 30 sec.
2) How long the test mode still has to run in sec. (30 to 0)
