INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this RUNPOTEC Capstan Winch CW 800 E. These
operating instructions provide information on safe use of the capstan
winch. Read the operating instructions carefully before starting up. If you
have any questions about the start-up, assembly, safety, use or malfunc-
tions, please call or e-mail your dealer or RUNPOTEC. You will find our

APPLICATIONS
The mobile RUNPOTEC Capstan Winch CW 800 E is suitable for horizontal
cable pulling ONLY. Use the device for this work only. Any other use is un-
intended. NOT suitable for vertically cable pulling, as the winch does not
have a vertical brake! Transporting persons is prohibited Due to the ideal
wrap factor, RUNPOTEC recommends polyester pulling ropes Ø 10 mm.
NOTES ON HANDLING
The portable RUNPOTEC cablepulling - capstan winch CW 800 E can be
secured in various ways.

The housing can be bolted to the ground (7) or secured with a strap (11) and
suitable load attachment accessories via the fastening lug (8) to a fixed object
(e.g., a tree). You can also used the latching bolts (6) to secure the housing
on the RUNPOTEC trolley (10) on the rail. The trolley itself can be bolted down,
attached directly to a trailer hitch (12) or fastened to a fixed object with a
strap fed through the fastening lug (11).
