2.3
Responsibility of the operator
The product is designed for industrial applications. The operator must take care to ensure that work on
the product is carried out safely (see also chapter 5 "Mounting", Page 13). The national and international
safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed during installation, during work on and with
the product, as well as during mounting at the installation location.
In order to ensure safe work on the product, the operator must provide the operating and service per-
sonnel with regular instruction on occupational safety, environmental protection, and first aid.
For explosion-proof versions, the operator must create the Ex-protection document for the system and
carry out the zoning and risk assessment (e.g. based on ATEX 0137).
NOTE!
In particular, equipment used in potentially explosive areas where hybrid mixtures are present must be
checked. Hybrid mixtures are explosive mixtures of flammable gases, vapors, or mists with flammable
dusts. The operator is responsible for checking that the equipment is suitable for such uses.
2.4
Transport, packaging, and storage
The product must be inspected for possible transport damage upon goods receipt. Any damage that has
occurred must be reported immediately to the manufacturer. The further procedure is then coordinated
depending on the damage case.
Before startup, the product must first be removed from the packaging.
The product must not exceed the permissible limits with regard to environmental influences and mechan-
ical properties during storage (see corresponding data sheet and/or product drawing). During storage,
the product must be protected against moisture and dust.
After installation by the customer and further shipment of the system, suitable transport protection or
packaging must be provided for the floats (impact prevention).
