Have the fall arrest device inspected and checked the by the manufacturer or a competent organization, mandated
by them. The fall indicator swivel should be replaced.
The different possibilities are described in the table board (See reference table).
Materials:
The body is entirely composed of aluminium and the closing axle is in zinc steel. It is composed of a swivel and a
fall indicator.
ESTABLISHMENT AND/ OR ADJUSTMENTS:
To connect a part on swivel, start to withdraw the pin
(A). Then, unscrew the axis jaw (B). Take the side of the
B
device that you wish to connect in the jaw (C) and screw
D
the axis jaw. Put then the pin back in the hole of the axis

C
planned.
In order to open the hook, press at the same time the 2
fingers that go out of the body (D). The hook remains
E
opened without manual intervention until its interlocking
on the attachment point of the harness or the structure
F
CLOSED
OPEN
(E). The opening of the hook is 11 mm.
For the use of the swivel alone without the automatic hook. The second jaw with irremovable axle owns an 11 mm
way that enables the assembling of a connector (F).
When a fall occurs, a fuse part breaks inside the swivelling part, with the red fall indicator appearing.
When connecting, check the locking system of jaw is correctly placed and the set of the pin and the two nuts are
presents and correctly screwed (A).
The total length of a device comprising an shock absorber and a lanyard should include: shock absorber + lanyard
+ manufactured ends + connectors for each of the ends. This length should not exceed 2 m.
In the case of a use on a lanyard, the total length must not exceed 2 m. When the lanyards are associated with
connectors, TOTAL length takes into account the dimensions of the connectors, only on their long axis. (No
pressure should be applied to the minor axis of a connector).
RECOMMENDATIONS:
For safety reasons and before each use, check:
- that the connectors (EN362) are closed and locked ①
- that the operating instructions described for each component of the system are met
- that the general disposition of the work situation reduces the fall risk, the drop height and the pendulum
movement in the case of a fall.
- The vertical clearance is sufficient (free space beneath the feet of the user) and no obstacles disrupt the normal
functioning of the fall arrest system. (See reference table)
The vertical clearance is the stopping distance H + additional safety distance of 1 m. The distance H measured
from the initial position to the final position (user's balance after the fall arrest). (See reference table).
Provide a safe distance from power lines or areas with an electrical hazard.
USAGE LIMITS:
Before any PPE implementation operation, set up a rescue plan to deal with any emergency that may occur during
the operation.
The shelf life is given as an indication. The following factors can cause it to vary greatly:
- Non-compliance with the manufacturer's instructions for transport, storage and use
- "Aggressive" work environment: marine atmosphere, chemicals, extreme temperatures, sharp edges...
- Particularly intensive use - Shock or significant constraint
- Disregard for the product item's history
Warning: these factors can cause damage invisible to the naked eye.
Warning: certain extreme conditions can shorten the shelf life by a few days.
If in doubt, always remove the product for it to undergo either:
- a review
- destruction
