repaired by an expert, no liability can be assumed for prob-
able damages.
Should the device definitively be put out of operation, same
has to be disposed of in a local recycling plant.
3 Application
The pan head VP-68 is designed for the use in video monitor-
ing systems. It is suitable for indoor use only.
By means of the pan head a CCTV camera can be panned
manually or automatically back and forth via a connected con-
trol device (e. g. PT-24 by MONACOR). Thus the camera de-
tects a wide monitoring range.

4 Putting into Operation

4.1 Mounting of the camera and the pan head
1) Screw the camera onto the mounting plate (1).
2) To adjust the camera's tilting angle, slightly loosen both set-
screws (2), adjust the mounting plate as desired and re-
tighten the setscrews.
3) Mount the pan head via the 6,3 mm thread (7) at the bottom
side of the device so that it can still be adjusted exactly. (As
the final alignment of the pan head will only be done upon
adjustment of the panning range, do not yet mount the de-
vice definitively!)
4.2 Connections
1) Connect the required operating voltage to the camera. The
supply line should be long enough so that same will not be
turned off or exposed to strong mechanical stress relief.
2) Connect the BNC-plug (6) to the video output of the
camera. If the camera is not equipped with a BNC video
output, an appropriate adapter has to be inserted between.
3) The video output signal is available at the BNC jack (8).
Connect the jack to the video input of the monitor via a 75 Ω
cable.
