3 Applications
GB
The digital stereo multi-effect unit MFX-16
offers 16 effect programmes (e. g. several
reverberation effects, chorus, flanger, etc.)
the parameters of which can be varied (16
variations for each effect). The unit is ideally
suited for musicians and applications on
stage but it can also be used for other appli-
cations, e. g. home recording.
4 Connection
1) Insert the effect unit via the INPUT (11)
and the OUTPUT (10) into the effect way
of a mixer or instrument amplifier or insert
it between two units (e. g. between a
mixer and an amplifier or between a key-
board and a mixer).
Note: In case of a mono signal source,
only use the left jack LEFT/MONO.
Do not connect anything to the
right jack RIGHT. In this case, the
mono input signal will be internally
switched to the left and right chan-
nels.
2) To switch on and off the effect via remote
control, a foot switch or momentary ac-
tion foot switch can be connected to the
jack REMOTE (9). When the switching
contact is closed, the bypass function
(bridging of the unit) is activated, i. e. the
effect is switched off.

3) Finally connect the supplied power sup-
ply unit to the power supply jack (8) and
to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).

5 Operation
The unit is switched on as soon as it has
been connected to the mains via its power
supply unit. The red POWER LED (6) lights
up to indicate that the unit is ready for oper-
ation.
5.1 Level adjustment
1) Feed a signal (test signal or music piece)
to the effect unit.
2) For the time being, turn back the control
MIX (2) to "0". In this position, no effects
will be added to the signal.
3) Turn up the control INPUT (1) just until
the LED SIGNAL (4) shortly shows red
with music peaks. Then slightly turn back
the control until the LED is extinguished.
essary to slightly turn back the control
even further, e. g. for unpredictable high
volume levels during live performance.
This will provide an additional margin for
level control.
4) Use the control OUTPUT (3) to match the
output level of the effect unit to the input
of the subsequent unit connected (ob-
serve the level control indication on the
subsequent unit).
overload of the subsequent unit; in this
case, turn back the control correspond-
ingly. If the level is too low, a poor signal/
noise ratio will result.
