2. Safety Instructions
• We do not assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use or the failure to
observe the safety instructions. The warranty will expire in any such case. Furthermore, claims for damages do
not exist in the case of fire or explosion.
• The detector is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children.
• The gas detector must not be installed in the following places:
o outside of buildings, near open gas bottle cases;
o in cupboards or behind curtains;
o directly above a sink or similar;
o directly next to a gas stove;
o next to doors, windows, fans, ventilators or air conditioners;

down.
• The detector is not suitable for commercial, industrial use, as well as for primary explosion protection.
• Due to the sensitivity of the gas detector a false alarm caused by other gaseous substances, such as e.g.
aerosols, hair sprays, propellants, cigarette smoke, etc., can not be excluded.
• The influence of strong, static, electronic or high-frequency fields, such as discharges, cordless phones, radio

• All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
• Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty. We do not assume
liability for resulting damages.
3. Installation
• Before you start, please enquire directly at your utility provider what type of gas it is and what characteristics it
has. In the case of tank gas systems you should get information whether the gas is lighter or heavier than air and
where the best place is to install the gas detector.
• Do not operate the device via an extension cable or a distributor, since the gas detector might be discontinued
from the mains during reconnection of other devices.
