4 Measuring the Temperature

Do not hold the temperature sensor (1) into the
sun or other strong light sources (e. g. flood-
lights). The sensor may be damaged.
Do not hold the temperature sensor directly
onto the object to be measured, and protect it
against impurities as well as scratches.
1) Hold the temperature sensor (1) in the direc-
tion of the object. The distance towards the
object should not exceed 2 m.
2) Keep the red button "MEAS" (6) pressed for
approx. 1 second. The display (3) shows an
indication. If not, four 1.5 V batteries (size
AAA) must be inserted. If the symbol
displayed, replace the batteries – see chapter
6 "Replacing of Batteries".
3) For better locating the object, the laser beam
can be switched on with button
