The furniture you have purchased features the Easys electromechani-
cal cabinet opening system for the last word in convenience. Please
familiarise yourself with the system and follow the advice, technical
and otherwise, provided in this information:
Safety warning:
This warning sign indicates safety warnings that
must always be followed.
• Carefully read the operating instructions before using the
system.
• Keep the operating instructions up to the end of the
system's useful life.
• Pass these operating instructions on to any subsequent Easys user
or owner.
1. General
The Easys cabinet opening system is used for opening drawers
in household furniture, fixtures and fittings. The system operates on
safety extra-low voltage (SELV) generated by the power supply unit
supplied with the system by the original equipment manufacturer. The
system components do have not
any particular protection rating that prevents the ingress of
water or the intrusion of solid objects and are therefore not suitable
for use outdoors or in places likely to be exposed to water or dirt.
Easys must only be used under the following conditions:
• In dry rooms
• At temperatures ranging from 5 to 40°C
• In conjunction with Quadro, InnoTech, ComfortLine and ArciTech
drawer and pull-out systems from HETTICH
No liability will be accepted for damage caused by improper use or
incorrect operation.
2. Safety

Easys meets the level of safety requirements applicable at the time it
was put onto the market.
2.1 Warnings
• The system must only be assembled, installed, serviced,
dismantled, put into operation and adjusted by properly trained
persons.
• Before cleaning and servicing, switch the power socket
off or disconnect the mains plug.
• Any moisture entering the power supply unit presents
the risk of a lethal electric shock.

• Follow the care instructions provided in this information to avoid
damaging the electrical components.
• Only connect the power supply unit to components that
are supplied with the opening system or to devices
specifically intended by the manufacturer for simultaneous con-
nection to the power supply unit.

• Do not use the power supply unit must if its mains
connection lead is damaged. In this case, the power
supply unit must be changed as it could give you a lethal
electric shock.
• Never open a faulty power supply unit or a faulty drive.

• Immediately instruct an authorised electrician to rectify damage to
the cabling.
• Be aware that electrical devices heat up when they are in
operation. For this reason, do not cover any of the devices with
objects, such as textiles.
• This equipment is not intended for use by adults or children with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or who through lack of
experience and/or knowledge could endanger themselves or others,
unless they are supervised by a responsible adult and carefully
instructed in its use. Under no circumstances may children be allo-
wed to play with the equipment.
• The system complies with the regulations in effect at
the time of entering the market. Nevertheless, it may
be affected by interference from other electrical
equipment. If this happens, contact the manufacturer
of the equipment concerned or the retailer from whom
it was purchased.
• Drawers and other furniture parts operated by Easys must
move freely. Always make sure that drawers are not overloaded or
jammed by heavy or bulky objects.
• To prevent drawers and pull-outs from being operated
unintentionally, it is recommended to connect the power
supply unit to a switched power socket and to switch it off if
necessary.
2.2 Modifications and replacement parts
Never make modifications or use replacement parts not approved by
the manufacturer as this will impair proper working order and safety.
• Only use genuine replacement parts.
• It is only permissible for a properly trained person to change com-
ponents or make modifications to the cabling and power supply.
• Immediately instruct a qualified skilled person to rectify damage.
• Order replacement parts from your dealer or furniture supplier.
