Moving the DTS
If necessary, remove the stand for the laptop and steering wheel spinners so as to create
more room when moving through narrow passage ways.
Indoors
Lower the three wheels on the DTS by turning the hand wheel knob at the relevant wheel.
Outdoors
Lower the three wheels on the DTS by turning the hand wheel knob at the relevant wheel, so
that you are in a position to lift the DTS up. Lift it high enough to fit the large wheels. Detach
the front wheel and fit it in the securing point right at the front of the frame, see Figure 1. Fit
the two wheels which come supplied in the same way, in the securing points right at the rear
of the frame.

Installing the software on the computer
To ensure stable operation of the DTS, a computer should be dedicated for the purpose and
the software installed on an empty hard drive. The software requires Windows XP or later
version.
Connect the USB, which comes supplied with the software, to the computer. Start the installa-
tion by clicking on the setup.exe file. Then follow the instructions on screen.
Connect the computer to the DTS
Connect the USB cable between the computer and the sensor which is positioned on the left-
hand side inside the cover. Once the USB cable is connected, installation of two device drivers,
National instruments and USB carrier, starts automatically. Restart the computer once installation
is complete.
