TYPE
Used for defining the type of input. Use the + and - keys to select the type desired from those described below.
• AUDIO STD: indicates a generic input that can be used for connecting audio equipment that has no connection with the RX 3000
system except for the audio line itself. An AUDIO STD input has no priority, and is not subject to any particular handling on the
part of the system.
• PLAYBACK: indicates an input dedicated to the connection with the LINE OUT output of the audio board of the control unit, for
the playback of audio signals (audio files). Only one input of this type can be defined. When the audio board is not used for
playing back audio signals, it is not necessary to configure an input of this type.
• FIREMAN 1: indicates an input dedicated to the connection of a FIREMAN 1 source, which has absolute priority (see the section
EVENTS CONTROLLED BY THE GPI INPUTS). Only one input of this type can be defined.
• FIREMAN 2: indicates an input dedicated to the connection of a FIREMAN 2 source, which has absolute priority (see the section
EVENTS CONTROLLED BY THE GPI INPUTS). Only one input of this type can be defined.
• CONSDIG n.: indicates an input dedicated to the connection of a BM 3616 digital console. The abbreviation n. represents the
identification number of the console, in the range between 1 and 16 (maximum number of digital consoles handled). This number
is set locally on the console by means of the address assignment procedure.
• CONSGPI n.: indicates an input dedicated to the connection of a BM 3604 console. The abbreviation n. represents the identifi-
cation number of the console, in the range between 1 and 24 (maximum number of consoles handled).
• BGM n.: indicates an input dedicated to the connection of a background music source (see the section BACKGROUND MUSIC).
The abbreviation n. represents the identification number of the source, in the range between 1 and 8 (maximum number of sour-
ces handled).
To display the subsequent or previous inputs, press the ↑ / ↓ and/or pag↑ / pag ↓ keys.

To exit from the submenu, press ESC and proceed as described in the section EXIT FROM A MENU.

USING THE "OUTPUT PROCESSORS" MENU

This menu is used for programming the outputs of the OB 3230 AUDIO OUTPUT boards. From the main configuration menu of the control
unit, use the ↑ / ↓ and/or pag↑ / pag↓ keys to move the selection point to the OUTPUT PROCESSORS submenu and press ENTER. The
fields described below appear on the control unit display.
N.
Indicates the identification number of the audio output to be programmed. The indication is sequential: the number 1 corresponds
to output number 1 of AUDIO OUTPUT board number 1; the number 9 corresponds to output number 1 of AUDIO OUTPUT board
number 2; the number 64 corresponds to output number 8 of AUDIO OUTPUT board number 8, and so on.
NAME
Used for defining the identification name of the output, which can be composed of a maximum of 16 alphanumerical characters. Use
the + and - keys to select the alphanumerical characters in rotation, and confirm each character with ENTER. The numerical cha-
racters can be selected directly on the numerical keypad.
VOX
Used for enabling/disabling the VOX function on the output (see the section VOX DEVICE). Use the keys + and - to select one of the
following options:
• ON - VOX function activated on the output
• OFF - VOX function disactivated on the output
TYPE
Used for defining the type of output. Use the keys + and - to select the desired type from those described below.
• GENERIC: indicates a generic output which is not subject to any particular handling on the part of the system.
• RECORDER: indicates an output dedicated to the connection with the LINE IN input of the audio board of the control unit, for re-
cording audio signals on files. Only one output of this type can be defined. When the audio board is not used for recording au-
dio signals, it is not necessary to configure an output of this type.
• BGM n.: indicates an output dedicated to sound coverage of an audio zone in which the background music is normally played
(see the section BACKGROUND MUSIC). The abbreviation n. represents the number of the background music source to be played
in the zone (number between 1 and 8). If, for example, a BGM 1 type output is selected, the source connected to the BGM 1 ty-
pe input is normally played. The same background music source can be assigned to more than one output.
