GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
With the CARPET automotive seats and upholstery can be cleaned thanks to a thick detergent foam which is applied with a special
brush and then picked up into a recovery tank so to ensure rapid drying of the treated object.
The machine is to be used exclusively for this purpose.
Even the best machine can operate accurately and effectively only when properly used and maintained in a perfect state. Therefore,
ready carefully this instruction booklet which is to be retained carefully for future reference.
INTRODUCTION
This manual is a guide and it provides all practical information for machine safety, operation, adjustment and maintenance. Prior to
delivery, the machine has been checked by our technicians in order to guarantee perfect performance. For these conditions to be
maintained, please comply carefully with the general maintenance operations that are described in this manual.
GUIDELINES
•
The plastic parts of the packing may represent a danger and should not be left within reach of children.
•
After removing all packing materials, make sure the machine is intact and, if in any doubt, do not use the machine but call the
technical assistance centre.
•
Before connecting the machine, make sure that the data on the identification plate comply with the power supply mains.
•
Check periodically that the electric cable is intact to prevent any risk of short circuits or electric shocks which may be fatal for the
operator.
•
Before any cleaning or maintenance procedure, make sure the machine has been disconnected from the mains.
•
Do not wash the machine with direct jets of water and do not plunge it into water.
•
In case of any failure or malfunction, switch off the machine, unplug it from the outlet and call the technical assistance centre.
•
During operation and during maintenance and cleaning procedures on the machine, always wear protection gloves.
•
Protect your eyes from any product splashes. In the event of contact with the eyes, wash immediately and thoroughly with water.
•
This machine is intended exclusively for the use it has been designed for and the manufacturer cannot be deemed liable for any
damage caused by improper use.
•
Within the scope of continual innovation, the manufacturer reserves the right to change its products without prior notice.
PREPARING THE MACHINE
•
Take the machine off the pallet by removing the two holding brackets.
•
Check that the mains socket matches the data provided on the identification plate and make sure that the earthing system is
working. Avoid using adapters or multiple-socket outlets to prevent over-heating.
•
Always protect the outlet with an appropriate magnetothermal switch and with a differential switch with a time delay equal to or
less than 0,03A
•
Use the screw plug on the top of the tank to refill the solution tank (fig.1). The tank holds about 20 liters of solution. To obtain the
1/40 required dilution, fill the tank with 15 liters of clean water (up to 10 cm from the lower end of the threaded area of the seat of
the plug) and add 0,4 liters of the proper detergent.
NOTE:
For proper and long machine life, you are recommended to use only the products that are supplied by the manufacturer,
i.e. the products of the FOAM INDUSTRIAL line
•
Insert the suction hose into the appropriate outlet on the back (fig.2).
•
Make sure that the expansion plug underneath the tank is properly tightened (fig.3).
•
Make sure that the net filter inside the suction plug is properly fitted (fig.4).
USE OF THE FOAM WASH MODEL OF THE MACHINE
•
Check that the tank level is high enough for the type of use you intend to make of the machine, otherwise fill it up and avoid
introducing any foreign body inside the tank
•
Connect the plug to the mains socket after checking that the suction switch (green) and that of the foam pump (red) are on "O"
•
Switch on the red switch (foam switch fig.5)
•
Keeping the brush inside a bucket, press the button (fig.7) on the handle bar till foam starts to come out. Foam density can be
adjusted using the FOAM knob on the transport handle (fig.6). From the closed position (-), turn the knob anti-clockwise 180° to
360° to obtain regular, compact foam production.
•
Distribute a good quantity of foam onto the part to be cleaned and brush it thoroughly in the most heavily soiled spots. It is
recommended to treat 50x50 cm surfaces at a time. Press the button if you need more foam.
•
Put down the brush, start suction (green switch fig.5) and, with the proper nozzle, pick up the foam from the treated area (fig.8).
Proceed slowly and accurately to ensure rapid drying.
