Precautions
Points to observe for safe usage
Read this manual carefully before using this item and its components.
They contain instructions on how to use this product in a safe and
effective manner. Caliber Europe BV cannot be responsible for problems
resulting from failure to observe the instructions in this manual.
Turn off the device immediately in case of a problem.
Failure to do so may cause personal injury or damage to the product.
Return it to your authorized Caliber Europe BV dealer for repairing.
Product cleaning.
Use a soft dry cloth for periodic cleaning of the product. For more
severe stains, please dampen the cloth with water only. Anything else
has the chance of dissolving the paint or damaging the plastic.
Adapter
Only use the provided adapter
Below the descriptions of the features/options of the HCG 011DAB. The number between the "(...)" refers to the
key or connections on the unit. The illustrations can be found in the front of this manual.
Quick start and clock set
• Plug the adapter into a 100~240V AC outlet and the other end in the DC-in (9).
• The electronic clock will turn ON and the clock shows "0:00".
• The LCD backlight will light up and shows "Time is not set". Press [q /Mode] button to turn ON the radio.
• The time will sync to the time broadcasted by DAB, by default.
• Press and hold the [Enter/snooze] (4) button to automatically scan and store radio stations.
• O nce the scan is finished, it will display the number of radio stations received, and start to play the first station
automatically.

Adjusting the volume

Press [ Vol- / Vol+ ] button, to increase or decrease the volume.

The Info/Menu button enables you to change some of the default settings of your radio, so that it works just the way
you want it to. To enter into the main menu, press and hold the [Info/Menu] (7) button for 3 seconds, it will enter into the
main menu. You can press [Tune-] or [Tune+] to choose different submenus, and use [ENTER] (4) to enter or accept.
Whenever you want to exit the menu, short press the [Info/Menu] button to return the previous menu.
Full scan
• Press and hold the [Enter/snooze] (4) button to automatically scan and store radio stations.
• It searches all stations available in your location; it may take up to 3 minutes to complete the scan.
• To explore the stations that have been found, you need to press either the 'tune-' or 'tune+' key to see the next or
previous station (DAB
mode). When you find a radio station that you would like to listen to, press the [Enter / Snooze]
+
button to select the station. If you don't press the enter key, the radio will switch to the new station automatically after
5 seconds.
• When you start up the radio again, the radio plays the same mode and same station as last listened to.
Manual Tune
1. Using the manual tune feature, you can manually tune the receiver. This can help you when aligning your aerial or
when adding stations that were missed while auto tuning.
2. Press and hold the [info/menu] button to enter the menu. Select <Manual tune> using [Tune-] or [Tune+] button to
scroll through the digital radio frequencies and select the frequency you want to fine tune.
FM Mode
1. When you are in DAB mode, press the [ q /Mode ] (1) button to change to FM mode.
2. Press and hold the [Tune-] or [Tune+], your radio will scan in an up or downward direction and stop automatically
when it finds a station.
3. After a few seconds, the display will update. The display will show the station name and it will display the RDS (Radio
Data System) information if available.
Temperature.
Ensure that the ambient temperature is between 0°C and +45°C
before turning on the device.

Maintenance.
If you have problems, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself.
Return it to your Caliber Europe BV dealer for servicing.
Placement.
Place the product on a flat surface. Provide enough space
around the product for sufficient ventilation.
Heat.
Do not locate the appliance in the vicinity of a heat surface or
in direct sunlight.
