12. Ethernet Connection
If you want to connect the unit through a network using a network cable (LAN) and visualize your multimedia files in stre-
aming mode you need a network cable (RJ45). Connect one end of the network cable to the SPM5000 unit and the other
end to an available port of your Router, Switch or Hub (follow the steps indicated in the Connection section of the user
guide). This cable should be "Without crossing" if it is connected to a Router, Switch or Hub. If you want to connect the
unit to your PC, the cable should be "Crossed".
To setup a LAN connection between the SPM5000 and a router, go to "Setup" / "Network" and select "With cable " option
in "Network by default". A window will appear to select if you want the router assign the IP automatically or if you want to
assign the IP in a manual way. If you select the manual mode you have to enter an available IP in the network (go to the
12.1 section of this user guide for further information).
Once the network is already configured you can access to the shared files of your PC from the Main Menu /"Network PC"
option, or by pressing "PC" button of the remote control.
Note. Streaming function is subject to the bitrate of the file.
12.1 Manual IP Setup

192.168.0.12, puede asignar una nueva IP a su dispositivo cambiando los dos últimos dígitos del último campo
(192.168.0.33). Tenga en cuenta que sólo puede realizar cambios en el último campo de la IP de su PC.
Important. The assigned IP of the unit will be different in each setup process or in each router.
