Engineering Notation

When we have to express very big or very small
numbers, it is useful to use scientific notation, that
is, instead of typing all the zeros, the number is
expressed as a coefficient multiplied by a power
of ten:

Normally, the coefficient can be any real number
(2.3 in the previous example), and the exponent is
an integer (8).
The only difference between engineering notation
