• Only use the cabins when they are in proper condition.
• Observe the maximum weight with which the cabin may be loaded.
• Keep the outlet opening in the ceiling clear at all times.
• Take note of all information in these operating instructions.
• Observe accident prevention regulations and workplace regulations.
• Work on the electrical system is to be carried out only with the power turned off and only by
qualified electricians – refer here to the regulations of the local electricity supply company.

4. PROTECTED RIGHTS

A variety of commercially protected rights have been registered in order to protect the innovation,
construction and design.
5. PREPARING THE SMOKE & TALK FOR OPERATION AND USE

5.1. SET-UP REQUIREMENTS

Before setting up the smoke & talk smokers' cabin it is necessary to check that the
ground can support it:
• The point loading (over approx. 20 cm²) of the types st.203, st.328 and the st.453 is about 100
kg at each of the cabin's supporting feet.
• The cabin may only be used in enclosed, dry areas. The room must be at least 2.4 m high. The
volume of the room in which the cabin is set up must be at least 17m³ for type st.203, 27m³
for type st.328 and 37m³ for type st.453.
• The floor must be flat to within the specification of DIN 18202 (Dimensional tolerances for building
construction).
• The cabin's supporting feet can compensate for differences in height of between plus/minus 10
mm.
• The same applies to the alignment of the adjustable tables. No special demands are placed on the
compression strength of the floor covering. We only advise against the use of plastic flooring with
foam backing, since pressure marks on the floor can result.
CAUTION :
Operation of the cabin may only be carried out in closed, dry and well-ventilated rooms!
Before delivery, the necessary arrival checklist must be completed. !

5.2. LOCATING INSIDE THE ROOM

• The conditions governing erection of the cabin are very flexible.
• The cabin can be located in an open space in the centre of the room, with one of its ends
against the wall, with its back to the wall, in a corner of the room, or in a recess.
CAUTION :
It must, however, be remembered that the cabin is not a piece of furniture, and cannot simply be
moved from place A to place B. If it has to be moved, the cabin must be dismantled and re-erected at
its new site. This must be done by an authorized asecos service technician.

5.3. CONNECTION TO THE POWER-SUPPLY

• The cabin is assembled by authorised mechanics.
• A connection for electrical power cables will be found on the cabin.
• Please connect the electrical cable supplied to an existing, earthed socket supplying mains
electricity at 230 V.
• The green LED on the filter monitor should light up.
• The red light barrier will appear on the floor to mark the smoker's area (DESING-LINE only)
• At the same time the equipment will begin to run in standby mode. Standby mode is interrup-
ted by entirely disconnecting the power supply.
• When someone enters the cabin, the movement sensor will switch the fan to full power.
• The lighting will also switch on.
CAUTION:
A mains electrical connection (a socket, earthed according to regulations) meeting the following speci-
fications must be available in the room where the cabin is set up:
¡ Voltage: 230 Volt
¡ Frequency: 50 Herz
¡ Current rating at least: 10 Ampere
CAUTION:
The red light barrier is created by a laser.
Do never look straight into the laser! This might cause damage to your eyes!

6. FUNCTIONAL CHECKS, CARE AND MAINTENANCE, FAULT FINDING

The smoke & talk is an item of personal safety equipment, which, in accordance with workplace
regulations and with VDI 6022, must be serviced and have its function tested by an appropriate-
ly trained person at least once a year. The biannual service carried out by asecos will check the
function, clean or exchange the filter, and will check the condition and function of all the cabin's
components, cleaning them or repairing them if necessary.

6.1. CLEANING AND CARE
