Preparation of the substrate
The ground under the raised garden bed should be level, horizontal and built up. Built-up ground must be
compressed to ensure that the product does not sink, otherwise damage may occur. Any turf must also be
removed.
Foundation
A concrete foundation is not required.
In order to avoid rising damp, we recommend that a barrier layer be laid between the substrate and the first layer
of boards using the packaging film, roofing paper or similar. Roofing paper for a barrier layer is not included in the
scope of this delivery.
The raised garden bed should be anchored to the substrate to protect against wind damage. The anchors are
not included in the scope of this delivery.
4.5. This must be considered during installation!

5. Use and maintenance
5.1. Wood protection
In order to prevent the wood being damaged, your chosen wood protection agent should be reapplied at the
intervals stipulated in the application information.
Any dust and dirt is to be regularly cleaned from the outside of the product, particularly in the spray area
(approx. 30 cm from ground line) in order to guarantee good drying.
5.2. Use
Never fill the raised garden bed completely with soil/compost, as the pressure on the
walls may subsequently become too great, resulting in damage.
We hope your installation is successful and wish you many happy hours enjoying your weka product.
