Safety Instructions

Wear safety gloves.
Wear safety shoes.
Wear a protection mask.
Keep your work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
Consider work area environment. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use electric tools in damp or
wet locations. Keep your work area well-lit. Do not use electric tools near flammable liquids or gases.
Guard against electric shocks. Prevent body contact with grounded surfaces (e.g. pipes, radiators, ranges,
refrigerators).
Keep children away. Do not let unauthorized users come in contact with the tool or extension cord. All
unauthorized users should be kept away from work area.
Store idle tools.
Do not overload the tools. You work better and safer in the given performance range.
Use the right tool. Do not force small tools or attachments to do the job of a heavy-duty tool. Do not use
tools for other jobs other than their intended purpose, for example do not use a circular saw fur cutting tree
limbs or logs.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery: they can be caught in moving parts. Rubber gloves
and non-skid footwear are recommended when working outdoors. Wear a protective hairnet to contain long
hair.
Use safety glasses. Also use a dust mask during pulverulent operations. Wear ear protection. If the noise
level exceeds 85 dB(A), ear protection is obligatory. Indicated noise levels may be exceeded dependent on
the working environment and the material to be treated.
Use dust extraction. If dust extraction and collection devices are present on the tool, make sure that they
will be used properly.
Do not abuse the cord. Never carry a tool by cord or yank it to disconnect it from wall outlet. Protect the
cord from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Secure the work piece. Use clamps or a vice to hold the work piece. It is safer and it frees both hands to
operate the tool.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. Follow the
instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Periodically inspect tool cords and, if damaged, have
them repaired by an authorized service facility. Periodically inspect the extension cord and replace it if
damaged. Keep the handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
Disconnect tools. When not in use, before servicing, and when changing accessories such as blades, bits
and cutters.
Remover adjusting keys and wrenches. Check to see that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed from
the tool before switching it on.
Avoid unintentional starting. Do not carry a plugged-in tool with your finger on the switch. Be sure that the
tool is switched off before plugging it in.
