This message appears when the "PLAYBACK" source has been selected in programming of the "ALARM" key on the CP 3100 control
unit. It indicates that the playback of the alarm signal programmed (message or tone) has begun. Depending on the programming of
the "ALARM" key, playback is carried out in one of the following ways.
• "PLAY SING.":
the alarm signal is played only once, even if the alarm function is not disactivated following the first playback of
the signal.
• "PLAY CONTINUO": the alarm signal is played at least once, and continues to be played back until the alarm function is disactivated.
When alarm signal playback is carried out in "PLAY SING." mode, the alarm function is automatically disactivated at the end of play-
back. In this case, the following message is displayed:
IMPORTANT NOTE
• When alarm signal playback is carried out in "PLAY CONTINUO" mode, the audio signal continues to be played back until the alarm
function has been disactivated.
c.
Indicates that the alarm did not start because another alarm event is already in progress which uses the same system resources (e.g.
audio zones, audio board). The alarm request remains in wait status to be carried out.
d.
Indicates that the alarm did not start because of one or more faults on system devices.
2) To disactivate the alarm function at any moment, press the "ALARM" key (ref. 6 – Fig. 1, page 132), keeping it pressed until you hear a
first beep and the "ALARM" LED goes off. Simultaneously, the following message appears on the console display:
After a few seconds, when the CP 3100 control unit has actually disactivated the alarm, a second beep is emitted and all the selections
are reset (the "PTT" LED goes off if previously on). The last message displayed before going into the menu returns to the console display
(e.g. COMMUNICATION ON).
IMPORTANT NOTES
• When the alarm function is enabled, all the other system functions currently being executed (excluding any other alarm events) that use
devices related to the alarm event are interrupted and definitively terminated ("override" function).
• Interruption of an alarm, if not controlled by the console that generated it, can only be carried out by switching off the system!
• If the alarm function is disactivated while the playback of a recorded alarm signal is in progress, the playback is not interrupted imme-
diately but continues until the end. In the case of continuous playback, the interruption will only stop subsequent playbacks.
• The alarm function remains active also in the event of an interruption of the communication between the console and the control unit.

RELAY CONTROL

This function makes it possible to control the switching of the auxiliary relays RX 3000 of the system; i.e. the relays present on the IO 3250
digital INPUT/OUTPUT boards contained in the MB 3200 sub-racks. The function can only be used when the "F1", "F2", and "F3" function
keys are suitably configured (see the section "USING THE F1 – F2 – F3 FUNCTION KEYS"). The following sections describe the various ways
that the function can be used.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• When the relay control is requested in conjunction with other operations (e.g. transmission of a microphone announcement, playback of a
recorded audio signal, alarm function control), the relay switching is carried out independently of whether of the resources necessary for
carrying out the other operations are engaged. This means that the relays switch immediately after the request has been sent by pressing
"ENTER" key, even if the other operations are carried out subsequently.
