4. Usage and treatment of the electric tool
a) Do not overload the appliance. Use the
correct tool for your work. You will be able to
work better and more safely within the given
performance boundaries.
b) Do not use an electric tool with a defective
switch. An electric tool that cannot be switched
on or off is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Pull the plug out of the socket and/or remove
the battery before making any adjustments to
the appliance, changing accessories or put
the appliance down. This safety measure
prevents starting the electric tool unintentionally.
d) Keep unused electric tools out of the reach
of children. Do not allow people who are not
familiar with the appliance or who have not
read these instructions to use the appliance.
Electric tools are dangerous if they are used by
inexperienced people.
e) Clean your electric tool carefully. Check
whether moving parts are functioning
properly and not jamming, whether parts are
broken or damaged enough that the
functioning of this electric tool is affected.
Have damaged parts repaired before using
the appliance. Many accidents are caused by
badly maintained electric tools.
f)
Keep your cutting tools sharp and clean.
Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges will jam less and are easier to
control.
g) Make sure to use electric tools, accessories,
attachments, etc. in accordance with these
instructions. Take the conditions in your
work area and the job in hand into account.
Using electric tools for any purpose other than the
one for which they are intended can lead to
dangerous situations.
5. Service
a) Have your electric tool repaired only by
trained personnel using only genuine spare
parts. This will ensure that your electric tool
remains safe to use.
Additional Safety rules
Always check the saw, the power cable and the
n
plug before use. Only ever use the saw if it is in
perfect, undamaged condition. Damaged parts
have to be repaired or replaced immediately by a
qualified electrician.
Always pull the plug out of the power socket
n
before carrying out any work on the saw, before
changing the blade and in periods of non-use.
Always run the power cable away from the back
n
of the saw to guard it from damage.
For outdoors work use only suitably approved
n
extension cables with a minimum conductor
cross section of 1,5 mm
2
. The plug connectors
must have earthing contacts and be splash-
proof.
Keep the saw in a safe place and out of the
n
reach of children.
Always wear goggles, safety gloves and ear
n
muffs when sawing. Wear a breathing mask on
dusty jobs.
Never leave any keys or adjustment spanners in
n
position on the saw. Before switching on, check
that all keys and adjustment spanners have been
removed.
Secure the workpiece (with a clamp) so that it
n
cannot slip.
It is imperative to use a dust extractor when
n
working on stone. Make sure the dust extractor is
approved for stone dust.
It is prohibited to use the saw on asbestos
n
materials.
Please note the accident prevention regulations
in force in your country.
Use only original spare parts.
n
Repairs are to be carried out by qualified
n
electricians only.
The level of noise at the workplace may exceed
n
85 dB(A). In this case you will need to introduce
noise protection measures for the user.
Make sure of your footing. Avoid abnormal
n
working positions.
Keep your electric tool out of the rain. Never use
n
electric tools in wet or damp conditions, and
never use them near inflammable liquids.
Never carry the electric tool by its power cable.
n
Keep the power cable safe from damage. Oil,
solvent and sharp edges can damage cables.
Keep your workplace tidy.
n
Make sure the power switch is off before
n
inserting the plug in the socket.
Wear suitable clothing. Never wear loose-fitting
n
clothes or jewelry. Use a hair-net on long hair.
For your own safety, use only the manufacturerʼs
n
accessories and attachments.
Use only sharp saw blades that are in perfect
n
condition. Replace bent and cracked saw blades
immediately.
After switching off the saw, do not press against
n
the side of the blade to bring it to a halt.
Always cut at a steady rate of progress. This will
n
prevent accidents and prolong the life of your
saw and the blade.
Use only a damp cloth to clean your saw. Do not
n
use any aggressive agents for cleaning
purposes.
Check your saw to ensure that it is in good
n
