Place the food to be toasted in the toast
S
slot 6.
To switch the toaster on, turn rotary ring 8
S
clockwise to the stop and click it into
place.
Ring lamp 12 lights up. After a brief delay,
the time remaining in minutes/seconds
before the end of toasting time (count
down) is shown in toasting level display 7.
Toasting ends when the toast is raised
S
slowly up (soft lift). The toaster switches off
automatically and ring lamp 12 goes out.
If you wish to end the toasting early, press the
stop button 11.
Info: After some time, toasting level display 7
goes out and the toaster is now in stand by
mode. Turning the rotary ring 8, pressing the
stop button 11, or turning toasting level
selector 10 switches the toaster back on
again.
It is only possible to close cover 1 if the toaster
is not in use and has cooled down.
Tip: To toast one slice, set a lower toasting
level than you would for two slices.
Note: If the slice of bread becomes trapped,
the toaster switches off automatically. Pull out
the appliance plug and carefully remove the
bread once it has cooled down.
General: Food to be toasted should only be
toasted until it is golden and not dark or
brown, remove any burnt edges. Do not toast
foods containing starch for too long, especially
cereals and potato products (this leads to the
production of acrylamide).
Warming
Do not lay aluminium foil on warming rack 3.
Do not toast at the same time.
Turn rotary knob 4 anti clockwise to the
S
stop. The warming rack 3 extends.
Set the desired toasting level to no higher
S
than 2.5 using the toasting level
selector 10.
Switch the toaster on using rotary ring 8.
S
Cleaning
Never immerse the toaster in water or put
it in the dishwasher.
Do not use a steam cleaner.
Switch off the power switch 13 and pull
S
out the plug. Allow the toaster to cool
down. Remove crumbs from under the
warming rack using a stiff brush.
Remove crumb tray 5 and wipe it out.
S
Wipe the outside of the toaster with a
S
damp cloth, do not use harsh or abrasive
detergents.
