Operating the 4-way manifold
5.1
Connecting an air conditioner
➤ Use the low-pressure quick coupling (blue) (fig. 1 6, page 3) to connect
the blue hose with the low-pressure connection of the air conditioner.
➤ Use the high-pressure quick coupling (red) (fig. 1 5, page 3) to connect
the red hose with the high-pressure connection of the manifold.
➤ Connect the vacuum connection (fig. 2 7, page 3) with the thick, yellow
vacuum hose to a vacuum pump.
➤ Connect an external refrigerant bottle using the thin, yellow filling hose
(fig. 2 2, page 3).
5.2
Filling the air conditioner
➤ Ensure that the air conditioner is empty.
Now evacuate the air conditioner as follows:
➤ Open the "VAC" knob (yellow) (fig. 2 5, page 3) to create a vacuum.
➤ Open the "HIGH" knob (red) (fig. 2 3, page 3).
➤ Open the "LOW" knob (blue) (fig. 2 4, page 3).
➤ Start the vacuum pump.
➤ Close the "VAC" knob (yellow).
➤ When the evacuation process is complete, turn off the pump.
➤ Check the system for leaks.
