■ If using tie style mantles, tie mantles around
grooves in burner. (Fig. 1)
■ Distribute folds on mantle evenly. Cut off surplus
string 1/4" (0.6cm) from knot. (Fig. 2)
■ For INSTASTART™ electronic ignition lanterns,
be careful that mantle does not snag
on electrode.

■ Light bottom of mantle evenly. Burn until nothing
but white ash remains. Once the mantle has
been burned, it is very fragile. Be careful not to
touch it with finger or match. (Fig. 3, 4)
