If there is a lightning strike, oil, dust, soiling, scratches on the contact
surfaces or damage to the insulating wings can form sparks.
Before mounting, check the contact body and insulating wings and
clean off any soiling.

Positioning the strip earthing clamp

1. Remove the coating and corrosion protection at the contact point of
the pipe (exception: hot-galvanised protective layer).
2. Slacken the tensioning screw

3. Place the strip earthing clamp and the contact body
the pipe.
