Switch on transmitter, create field and assign
monitoring station in the app
Before the system can function, you must:
– Insert the battery in the transmitter
– Switch on the transmitter
– Create a new field in the app and
– Assign the monitoring station to the field.
You should complete these four steps before installing the
monitoring station in the field.
Inserting the battery
Also see figure 5, page 3.
NOTE
Risk of damage!
Penetrating water or chemicals may damage or
destroy the monitoring station. Only insert the battery
in a clean and dry environment.
Open the battery compartment.
Insert the battery connector into the socket.
Place the battery and the cable in the transmitter. The
cable should be underneath the battery if possible (see
figure 5, page 3).
Close the battery compartment cover and lock it carefully
with the two screws.
Switching on the transmitter
The magnet supplied is required to switch the device on. The
status LED displays the progress.
Hold the magnet against the recess on the transmitter (see
figure 4, page 3).
The LED will light up in red and then green before going out.
You can then remove the magnet from the casing. The trans-
mitter will be ready 20 minutes after it has been switched
on.
The transmitter cannot be switched off using the magnet. If
required, the transmitter is switched off by Deepfield
Connect over the cellular network.
Holding the magnet against the transmitter ready for use will
test the cellular network signal strength – see "Testing the cel-
lular network" on page 16.
Creating a new field
Now create a new field and assign the transmitter to this field.
Open the main menu and select "Fields > Create field".
Follow the instructions on the display: Enter the basic data
for the field, connect the monitoring station and install the
monitoring station.
Linking the monitoring station to the field
Follow these steps to link a monitoring station to a field that
you have already created in the app:
Open the main menu and select "Monitoring stations".
Select the respective monitoring station. In the next win-
dow, under "Assigned to field" select the respective field.
