– Light contamination:
Knock on the air filter (30).
or
Heavy contamination:
Clean the air filter (30) under running water and sub-
sequently leave it to dry thoroughly, in order to prevent
mould from forming.
or
Replace the air filter (30).
– Reinsert the air filter.
– Close the air filter cover (25) again.
Material Disposal
Diluting agent and remnants of spray material must be dis-
posed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Observe the
Problem
Cause
Spray material does not
Spraying capacity too low
cover properly
Clearance to target area too large
Not enough spray material on target area, too
few spray paths sprayed over target area
Spray material too viscous
Spray material runs off after
Too much spray material applied
coating
Clearance to target area too close
Viscosity of spray material too low
Spray material applied too often over same
spot
Atomisation too coarse
Spraying capacity too high
Air flow too low
White nozzle cap (9) mounted (nozzle diameter
too large)
Nozzle needle (13) contaminated
Spray material too viscous
Air filter (30) heavily contaminated
Excessive paint mist
Too much spray material applied
Air flow too high
Clearance to target area too large
Spray jet pulsates
Not enough spray material in container
Ventilation hole (16) on suction tube (15)
clogged
Suction tube (15) loose
Container seal (14) not positioned or not cor-
rectly positioned in groove of suction tube (15)
Nozzle cap (9)/(10) loose
Air filter (30) heavily contaminated

manufacturer's disposal information and the local regula-
tions for disposal of hazardous waste.
Chemicals harmful to the environment may not be disposed
of into soil, groundwater or bodies of water. Never pour
chemicals harmful to the environment into the sewerage sys-
tem.
Storage
– Before putting the fine-spray system into storage, thor-
oughly clean the fine-spray system and allow all parts to
dry completely before assembling them.
If the fine-spray system is not being used, the elastic
band (27) together with the pin (23) on the base unit (20)
serve as a practical storage option for the air hose (18)
(see figure O).
Troubleshooting
Corrective measure
Turn the thumbwheel (4) to setting 5
Reduce spray distance
Apply more spray paths over target area
Dilute the spray material again and carry out a
test-spray run
Turn the thumbwheel (4) to setting 1
Increase spray distance
Add original spray material
Remove spray material; reduce number of
spray paths over same spot
Turn the thumbwheel (4) to setting 1
Slide the sliding switch (24) to the right
Fit the grey nozzle cap (10)
Clean nozzle needle
Dilute the spray material again and carry out a
test-spray run
Change air filter
Turn the thumbwheel (4) to setting 1
Slide the sliding switch (24) to the left
Reduce spray distance
Refill spray material
Clean the suction tube and the ventilation hole
Slide the suction tube all the way onto the paint
channel (17)
Mount the container seal precisely all around in
the suction tube groove
Tighten the nozzle cap
Change air filter
Dilute the spray material again and carry out a
test-spray run
