- Stop the saw if the chain strikes a foreign
object. Inspect the saw and repair or replace
I
parts as necessary.
- Keep the chain out of dirt and sand. Even a
small amount of dirt will quickly dull a chain
and increase the possibility of kickback.
GB
- Always keep the handles dry and clean.
- When cutting a limb that is under tension, be
alert for springback so you will not be struck
F
when the tension in the wood fibre is
released.
- Take great care when cutting small branches
D
or shrubs which can block the chain, be
thrown back towards you or cause you to
lose your balance.

8. MAINTENANCE
SK
WARNING - The motor is designed so
as not to become overheated during
normal use. If the electric chain saw tends
to heat up excessively this may be caused
P
by a worn chain, blunt cutters, exerting
excess pressure on the tool while cutting, or
blockage of the motor cooling slits. Before
GR
starting maintenance work always put on
protective gloves and ensure the battery has
been removed from the electric chain saw.
TR
Inspect the tool before each use to check for
worn or damaged components. Do not use
the chain saw if you notice any broken or
CZ
excessively worn parts.

General cleaning
• Keep the tool clean. Remove all woodchips
after each use and before stowing the tool
away.
• Regular and correct cleaning will help to
keep the tool in safe working order and
extend its working life.
• Clean the tool with a dry cloth. Use a brush
to clean hard-to-reach areas of the tool.
30
• Take special care in cleaning the air intakes
with a brush after each use of the tool. Clear
away any hard to remove debris using
compressed air (max. 3 bar) (Fig.31).
CAUTION - Do not use aggressive or
alkaline chemicals, abrasives or other
detergents or disinfectants to clean the tool;
such products may damage the outer of the
tool.
EXTRA MAINTANANCE ADVISABLE
It is advisable to inspect the machine by a
specialized technician at an authorized service
net work at the end of season, if used
intensively, and every two years if with normal
use.
WARNING: All maintenance operations
not reported in this manual must be
carried out by an authorized Service Center.
To ensure steady and regular electric saw
operation, remember that parts must only be
replaced with ORIGINAL SPARES.
Any unauthorized changes and/or
use of non-original replacement parts
may result in serious injury or death to the
operator or third parties.
CHAIN SHARPENING
WARNING - Always use safety gloves
and goggles while sharpening. Remove
the battery before working on the cutting
equipment.
The pitch of the chain (Fig. 26) is 3/8"x.050"
(Special). Sharpen the chain using protective
gloves and a round file of Ø 4 mm. (5/32").
Always sharpen the cutters only with outward
strokes (Fig. 25) observing the values given in
Fig. 26.
After sharpening, the cutting links must all have
the same width and length.
Follow the manufacturer's sharpening
and maintenance instructions for the
