Troubleshooting

Problem
No function when On/Off Trigger (9) is operated
Sander pulls to the side during operation
Belt sander running despite not touching the On/Off Trigger
Possible cause
No power
Defective On/Off Trigger
Off-centre sanding belt
Loose sanding belt
Lock On Button (3) activated

Solution
Check power supply
Replace the On/Off Trigger at an authorised GMC service
centre
Adjust the Belt Tracking Adjuster (1) to align the belt. If
problem persists, refit the belt as instructed in 'Fitting a
sanding belt'
Ensure the Belt Release Lever (12) is securely closed. If
problem persists, refit the belt as instructed in 'Fitting a
sanding belt'
To stop the machine, squeeze and release the On/Off Trigger
