HOW TO ADJUST THE INFEED ROLLER
The infeed roller feeds the stock into the planer. Position the infeed roller uniformly across the planer and .040" below the cutting
circle to feed the stock without slipping. To check the setting of the infeed roller,
Disconnect the machine from the power source.
Adjust the knives properly as explained in the section "CHECkINg, ADJUSTINg AND REPLACINg kNIVES."
1.
2.
Place the gauge block (A) Fig. 43 on the table, directly under the cutterhead (B). Use a .040" feeler gage (C) placed on top of
the gage block (A). Raise the table until the cutterhead knife touches the feeler gauge (A) when the knife is at its lowest point.
NOTE: Do not move the table any farther until the adjustment is complete.
3.
Place the gauge block (A) Fig. 44 under the infeed roller (D). The bottom of the roller (D) should touch gauge block (A).
4.
To adjust, loosen the locknut (E) Fig. 45, and turn the adjustment screw (F) until the infeed roller touches the top of gauge block
(A).
5.
Repeat the adjustment on the opposite end of the infeed roller in the same manner.
6.
Tighten the locknuts (E) Fig. 45 after adjustments are completed.

HOW TO LEVEL THE TABLE
The table is set parallel to the cutterhead at the factory and no further adjustment should be necessary. However, you need to check
this periodically and adjust if necessary.
Disconnect the machine from the power source.
1. Check the cutterhead knives for correct settings
in
the
section
AND REPLACINg kNIVES."
2. Check to see if the table is set parallel to the
cutterhead by placing gauge block (A) Fig. 46
directly under the cutterhead on the left hand side
of the table. Raise the table until the gauge block
(A) Fig. 46 touches the cutterhead.
