8. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces or run the cord
over sharp edges.
9. The bread in the toaster may ignite, therefore do not use the appliance
close to or under flammable objects (e. g. close to curtains). The
temperature of surfaces near the operating appliance can be hotter
than usual. Place the appliance out of the reach of other objects so
as to ensure free circulation of air necessary for its correct operation.
Do not cover the toaster slots.
10. Do not put too large or irregularly sliced pieces of bread into the
appliance. Should the bread become stuck in the appliance, unplug
the cord from the outlet and wait until the appliance cools down.

Then carefully remove the bread. Do not use metal kitchen utensils
to remove it, since they may cause a short circuit (spoon, knife...).
11. Do not place the slices of bread or of French bread directly on the
cover or on the slot of the toaster, the toaster could be damaged! Do
not toast bread that can melt (with topping) or leak into the toaster
and do not toast small pieces of bread or heels as this can cause
damage or fire.
12. It is not possible to use the toaster if it is tilted or turned on its side.
13. Do not insert fingers or metal objects in the toaster slots.
14. Do not touch the metal parts during or after use or hot parts of the
baked product, until is cools off. You should only touch the switches
of the "On" button and the temperature control knob to avoid burns.
15. Be careful not to scratch or otherwise damage with hard objects the
metal covers of the appliance or do not strike a sharp edge with the
appliance.
16. Do not immerse the appliance in water and do not clean it under
running water.
17. Keep the appliance away from hot surfaces and sources of heat (for
example, hot plates).
18. Use only in accordance with instructions provided in this manual. The
manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by the improper
use of this appliance.
