IMPORTANT SAFETY CAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed. These include the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or sand-
wich maker into water or any other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
- Keep the toaster and its cord out of reach of children less than 8
years. Children shall not play with the appliance. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance for unintended use.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning the ap-
pliance. Allow to cool down before putting on or taking off parts and
before cleaning the appliance.
- If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
an authorized technical service in order to avoid a hazard.
- After the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for exa-
mination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- To reduce the risk of injury, use only accessory attachments if recom-
mended by the appliance manufacturer.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over sharp edges of a table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
- The bread may burn, therefore do not use the toaster near or below
combustible material, such as curtains, upholstery or other decora-
tive fabrics, as they can easily catch fire and cause a safety hazard.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufactu-
rer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid
a hazard.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external
timer or seperate remote- control system.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervisi-
on or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved
