Safety instructions for charger
Attention! Read all safety
warnings and all instructions.
Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Save these instructions.
Protect the battery charger from rain
§
and moisture. The penetration of water in
a battery charger increases the risk of
electric shock.
Do not charge other batteries. The
§
battery charger is suitable only for
charging Skil batteries within the listed
voltage range. Otherwise there is danger
fire and explosion.
Keep the battery charger clean.
§
Contamination may cause the danger of
electric shock.
Check the battery charger, cable and
§
plug each time before using. Do not
use the battery charger when defects
are detected. Do not open the battery
charger yourself and have it repaired
only by qualified personnel using
original spare parts. Damaged battery
chargers, cables and plugs increase the
risk of electric shock.
Do not operate the battery charger on
§
easily inflammable surfaces (e. g.
paper, textiles, etc.) or in combustible
environments. There is danger of fire
due to the heating of the battery charger
during charging.
Do not attempt to recharge non-

§
cable.
Never allow children to use the unit.
§
Skil is only able to ensure perfect
§
operation of the unit, if the original
accessories intended for it are used.
Starting Operation
Observe correct mains voltage:
The voltage of the power source must agree
with the voltage specified on the nameplate
of the unit. Equipment marked with 230V
can also be connected to 220 V.
Only the charger F000624017 has the
selective key for input voltage A. Always be
certain that voltage selection in the key A is
appropriate for your power source voltage.
Plug the output cord of the charger C into
the socket in the bottom of the screwdriver
handle plug the charger B into any standard
electrical outlet.
Charging procedure
Battery of new tools is not fully charged. A
battery that is new or has not been used for
a longer period does not develop its full
capacity until after approximately 5
charging/discharging cycles.
The charging procedure starts as soon as
the mains plug is plugged into the socket
and inserted the plugue C in the machine.
Remove battery from charger after
charging period has ended thereby
lengthening the service life of the battery.
