05 | FIRST COMMISSIONING

To avoid camera damages, make sure that camera is switched off (slide control 08 = OFF) for the following steps!

05.1 Inserting the batteries

CAUTION
·
Make sure to use only fresh Mignon AA LR6 1.5V Alkaline Manganese batteries of the same type and brand. When
inserting the batteries please respect the correct polarity (+/-). Please remove batteries when device is not in use for a
longer period.

Do not use rechargeable batteries. They may lead to malfunction.
Open the camera releasing the lateral tension locks (05). Make sure that the slide control (08) is on position OFF. Insert 8 AA 1,5V
batteries (optional) into the battery compartment (12). Respect correct polarity (+/-).
To setup the camera, 4 batteries (6V) are sufficient. For operation please use 8 batteries.
05.2 Inserting the SD/SDHC memory card
CAUTION
·
Only use SD/SDHC memory cards from 4GB to max. 32GB. Using a micro SD card in combination with an adapter may
lead to malfunctions.

Make sure that the SD card is formatted and unlocked.
Insert a SD/SDHC memory card (optional) with the label facing upwards into the SD card slot (15) until it snaps into place.
How to format the SD card with the camera, please read chapter 07.3.6.
