1. Filling of the cylinder
Before the first filling the cylinder must be evacuated with a vacuum pump.
To fill the cylinder with refrigerant connect the refrigerant can or bottle with a charging
hose on valve (1).
Turn the refrigerant bottle or can on its head.
Open the valve on the bottle/can first and then valve (1) of the cylinder.
The liquid refrigerant is now flowing into the cylinder.
To relieve the gaseous refrigerant remove cap from valve (2) (not released into the
environment) and press on the Schrader valve.
The filling can now be completed.
2. Filling of a refrigeration unit
Read the pressure on gauge (3) and turn the corresponding refrigerant scale (5) to the
same pressure mark over the sight glass.
Fill the required quantity of refrigerant into the system from valve (1) liquid from or
from valve (2) gaseous.
If the pressure of the system and the cylinder are equal the cylinder can be heated if
execution with heater (all types of REFCO cylinders are available with a heating
element "H" which can be activated in this case).
The rubber ring on the cylinder can be used to control the filling quantity
After completing the filling, close all valves and disconnect the hose.
Maintenance and care
The connections and charging hoses should be subjected to a visual inspection for
mechanical damage before every use.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents to clean the device. Weak dilutions
of household cleaning agents and soapy water should be used instead.
