1. Push the unlocking slide (12) on the bottom
side of the machine (in the direction of the
arrow) downwards and pull dust collection box
(8) downwards to remove, making sure that
dust does not escape.
2. Empty dust collection box (8) and beat it lightly
when doing so. (Do not strike the upper edge of
the dust collection box (8).) Avoid creating
dust.
Note: A very badly contaminated fluted filter (10)
can be removed from the dust collection box (8) for
cleaning:
3. First remove the fluted filter cover (9) on one
side, and then on the other side, of the dust
collection box (8).
4. Take out the fluted filter (10) and blow out with
compressed air.
Inserting:
1. Reinsert the fluted filter (10).
2. Fit the fluted filter cover (9) the correct way
round: see illustration on page 3. Insert the
fluted filter cover (9) first on the one side, and
then on the other side, of the dust collection
box (8).
3. Insert the dust collection box (8) from below
into the guide grooves (11) and push on until it
engages.
8 Tips and Tricks
Very fine dust is created when drilling in certain
materials (e.g. gypsum). In this case, we recom-
mend the use of the extraction nozzle with brush
(see Chapter on Accessories).
9 Maintenance
If the extraction capacity is reduced, empty dust
collection box (8) and remove fluted filter (10) if
necessary and clean with compressed air (for
instructions, see Chapter 7.5).
The fluted filter (10) can be reused up to 100 times.
Replacement, see Chapter on Accessories.
Take out worn sealing cap (5) and replace.
Replacement, see Chapter on Accessories.
The gasket (13) for the dust collection box can be
used on both sides. Simply turn worn gasket.
Replace gasket worn on both sides. Replacement,
see Chapter on Accessories.
10 Accessories
Use only genuine Metabo accessories.
If you need any accessories, check with your
dealer.
For dealers to select the correct accessory, they
need to know the exact model designation of your
dust extractor.
