extractor is carefully tested and subject to strict quality controls by Metabo's quality assurance depart-
ment. Nevertheless, the service life of a dust extractor depends to a great extent on you. Please observe
the information contained in these instructions and the enclosed documentation. The more carefully you
treat your Metabo dust extractor, the longer it will provide dependable service.

1 Conformity Declaration

We, being solely responsible, hereby declare that
this product conforms to the standards and direc-
tives specified on page 2.

2 Specified Use

The IDR dust extractor is designed for use with the
Metabo BHE 20 compact hammer drill.
Only use the IDR dust extractor when drilling into
concrete, stone or brickwork. Do not use during
chiselling work.
Not suitable for extracting dust when drilling into
metal, wood, plastic or similar materials. Not suit-
able for extracting hazardous dust or vapours (e.g.
asbestos).
The machine is only suitable for extracting dry
dust.
The user bears sole responsibility for damage
caused by improper use.
Generally accepted accident prevention regula-
tions and the enclosed safety information must be
observed.
3 General Safety Instructions
WARNING – Reading the operating
instructions will reduce the risk
of injury.
WARNING Read all safety warnings and
instructions. Failure to follow all safety
warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Keep all safety instructions and information for
future reference.
Before using the power tool, carefully read through
and familiarise yourself with all the enclosed safety
information and the Operating Instructions. Keep
all enclosed documentation for future reference,
and pass on your power tool only together with this
documentation.
4 Special Safety Instructions
For your own protection and for the
protection of your dust extractor, pay
attention to all parts of the text that are
marked with this symbol!
CAUTION! The device is not suitable for extracting
hazardous dust.
CAUTION! The machine is only suitable for
extracting dry dust and should not be used or
stored outside in wet conditions.
Pull the plug out of the plug socket before any
adjustments, conversions or servicing are
performed.
Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can
cause loss of hearing.
Always wear protective goggles, working gloves, a
dust mask and sturdy shoes when working with
your dust extractor!
Do not touch the rotating tool!
The dust that collects in the extractor may contain
fine quartz dust as well as other hazardous
