Assembly instructions and maintenance
Any installation or maintenance procedure must be
carried out by qualified personel.
For the Principal Bus and Secondary Bus connections,
BUS-TAM wire must be used. Follow the instrucions of
the DAISATEST WIRING GUIDE.
Assembly
Fix both modules, control and batteries in a DIN 46277/
3 rail. Each module has a width of 70mm (equivalent to
4 standard magnetothermal switches).
Connect the wire to the batteries.
They must be installed in the interior of an electric
board.
Maintenance
- Replace the battery (MBAT 12-11) each five years.
- Before connection of the device always check that
the voltage of the distributing mains supply
corresponds with that specified on the unit.
- Make sure the unit is disconnected from the MAINS
before performing any maintenance procedure.
WARNING: This product contains a battery that must be
recycled or disposed of properly.
- Keep these instructions.

Operation
SBT-200-I is a communication and protection device for the data bus in Daisatest system, provided with a battery that allows the
operation during a mains failure with a duration of at least 1h.
Protection functions: Optoisolates the Principal Bus from the Secondary Bus. Analyzes the state of the bus secondary lines detecting
shortcircuits and over voltages respect to earth. Isolates the bus lines with
failure, indicating the failure and communicating it to the control computer.
Test-Bus button
It makes easier the starting up and the fault repair (shortcircuit and leakage in the
bus) of the DaisaTest emergency lighting, allowing to check that the secondary bus
ir correctly connected to the luminaires. (See DaisaTest wiring Guide).
With mains ON
-
:
- Checks the wiring of the bus with the luminaires: pressing Test-Bus (< 2 sec)
it goes to Test-Bus mode (the BUS-SEC pilot blinks) or returns to Normal mode
(BUS-SEC pilot ON). In Test-Bus mode it allows to:
- Check the correct wiring of the bus with the luminaires: introduces a
negative voltage in the secondary bus (-12v) that makes the indication pilots
of the luminaires that are correctly connected to the bus blink.
- Repair of shortcircuits and leakages in the bus: it maintains all the
secondary bus lines connected to make easier the shortcircuit and leakages
repair.
- Rest mode of the luminaires: pressing Test-Bus (> 3 sec) the isolator sends a
rest mode order to the connected luminaires.
With mains OFF
-
:
- Rest mode: pressing Test-Bus the isolator sends a rest mode order to the
connected luminaires, going to rest mode itself after it.
Indication pilots
- MAINS (
): The isolator is powered from the mains supply.
- MBAT 12-11: The battery (ref: MBAT 12-11) is being charged. This pilot lights off if the circuit of the battery module is opened.
- BUS PRINCIPAL: The pilot ON indicates that the bus is connected to the control unit. A short blink indicates the activity in the
communication process, reception of messages from the control unit.
- BUS SEC: The pilot ON indicates that the bus transmits the bus signal to the luminaires. A short blink indicates the activity in the
communication process, the isolator receives signals from the luminaires. A intermittence of this pilot indicates that the device is in
Test Mode (TESTBUS button has been pressed).
- SHORTCIRCUIT BUS SEC: ON indicates a shortcircuit in the wiring in the Secondary bus.
- LEAKAGE BUS SEC: ON indicates that one or both of the wires of the Secondary Bus has a non-desired contact with the mains supply (230v).
Re-switch on of the isolator without mains supply
- From the Principal Bus: it re-switches on after receiving a re-switch pulse from the Principal Bus.
- From ON-AUX input: it is provided with an ON-AUX input, that is activated with a 8 to 30Vac/dc voltage and y causes the re-switch
on of the isolator if it was in rest mode and the re-switch on of the luminaires connected to the secondary bus.
Temporized auto swith-off function
SBT-200-I can be configured from the control computer of DaisaTest system so that after a mains failure it can temporize and send a
rest mode order to the emergency luminaires connected to the secondary bus, going to rest mode itself after this. Consult functional
details to Daisalux.
