Description

This DIMMER SYSTEM, herein referred to as DS, is a control device (with IP65 protection rating) designed to
perform remote control of the THERMOLOGIKA SOLEIL SYSTEM (TSS) lamp, which does not have remote
control functions.

• Please read the instructions carefully before using the DS to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock or personal
injury. Store the instructions in a safe place for future consultation.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the back corresponds to that of the mains.
• If the power cable is damaged, contact Vortice or have a professionally qualified person look at it to avoid
personal injury.
• Be aware of the risk of fire and electric shock in the event of improper use. Promptly switch the device off
and disconnect the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Contact Vortice
or a professionally qualified person for repair.
• Disconnect electrical power before performing any maintenance.
• Persons with physical and/or psychological problems, mentally disabled persons and children must not use
the device unless under supervision.
• Keep children away from danger by positioning the device so that they do not have access to it. During
installation, it is advisable to keep this in mind and safely position the device.
• The device must only be installed by authorised specialists, taking into account the electrical current
regulations of the country in which it is installed.
• Do not install programs, timers or devices that allow it to start automatically. A risk of fire could be created
if installation is carried out incorrectly.
• This device cannot be installed on construction sites.

• Do not make changes to the device.
• Do not cover the device with clothes, paper, sheets etc., as this can cause overheating.
• Do not let the power cable touch hot surfaces.
• Disconnect the device from the mains when not in use.
• Use other than that which is stated in this instruction manual may cause damage to the DS, as well as short-
circuits and fires.

Installation

- Using a pencil, measure and mark the holes and check that they are aligned with the installation surface,

- Drill the wall where you want to install the DS, Fig. 2.
- Screw in the 4 screws with the supplied dowels. Fig. 3
- Insert the dimmer plug into the socket and connect the TSS to the dimmer using the plug.
Note: It is possible to connect up to a maximum of 2 TSS through a power strip, as shown in Fig. 4.
- Use two AAA 1.5 V type batteries for the remote control.

Controls and operation

As shown in Fig. 5, the DS has 2 buttons:
- Button A is a waterproof button that switches the DS on and off.
- Instead, B button, during the initial start-up phase, allows minimum power of the connected TSS to be
during operation involves the following cycle: maximum power ► medium power ► minimum power ►
switched on. Then, after 4 seconds, it operates at maximum power. Subsequent pressing of this button
