Practical Tips

The tool holder is designed for using different tools
such as a sander, knife of brushes. The pendulum
stroke must be switched off for these applications.
For sawing, the pendulum movement must be
switched off. As soon as a cutting depth of approx.
2 – 3 mm is reached, the pendulum action can be
switched on to achieve an optimum cutting perform-
ance.
When using a saw blade, make sure that the material
to be sawn is pressed against the saw stop plate 2.
This pressure is additionally supported by the move-
ment of the saw blade 1.
Should the saw blade jam, switch the machine off
immediately, wedge the sawing slit open using a suit-
able tool and carefully pull out the machine together
with the saw blade.
When sawing metals the pendulum action must be
switched off and a little oil should be applied to the cut-
ting spot. Sheet metal should be clamped to a firm
surface (chip board or plywood) in order to prevent the
material from swinging with the sawing action as far
as possible.
Danger of kick-back: When the sawing procedure is
finished, switch the machine off and do not pull the
saw blade out of the cut until it has come to a stand-
still.

10 Maintenance Measures

Before any work on the machine itself, remove the
battery.
Always keep the ventilation slots clean.
Wipe off the accessible plastic parts regularly with a
cloth without cleaning agent.
From time to time, a drop of oil should be applied to
the moveable roller guide for the tool.
Servicing Instructions
If you make heavy use of the equipment for an
extended period of time, we recommend returning it
together with the charger to our servicing department
for a thorough inspection at regular intervals. This pre-
vents high repair costs and extends the service life of
your equipment.

11 Environmental Protection
