The Smartmix X2 includes a multilingual menu
(German, English, French, Italian and Spanish). If
the language selected during installation should
not be the preferred language, the language can
be changed in program P21.
_ Select program P21 by turning the turning-
pushing knob.
_ Keep the turning-pushing knob pressed for
1.5 seconds.
_ The menu changes to Language Selection.
_ Select the desired language by turning the
turning-pushing knob.
_ Confirm your selection by pressing the button.
The unit is then ready for use.

First select a suitable beaker size and prepare
the materials to be mixed.
note: The Smartmix stirring beakers have a mar-
king for the maximum allowable filling height of the

material to be mixed. At high speeds (> 400 min
the stirring beaker must not be filled up to that
marking. In this case, reduce the filling quantity
or use next larger beaker.
The material to be mixed does not require premi-
xing if the option «pre-mixing» has been selected
(see chapter «Storing a stirring program»).Wipe
the top edge of the mixing vessel clean and fit
the lid. Shift from program P01 to program P20
by turning the multifunctional turning-pushing
knob (B).
Please note: The Smartmix X2 can be used even
when no special stirring program has been
entered yet. There are stirring parameters already
deposited in the programs. Simply press the
turning-pushing knob (B) for 1.5 seconds, select
the desired stirring time using the turning knob
and press again the turning-pushing knob (B) for
1.5 seconds to store. Now the device is ready for
operation.
Start the mixing operation by briefly pressing the
turning-pushing knob and move the stirring
beaker up to the manifold from below. After only a
few seconds, the suction holds the vessel in place.
Once full vacuum has been attained, mixing com-
mences automatically. The mixing time is counted
backwards on the LC display. An alarm can be heard
once mixing has been completed.
During mixing, the vacuum pump sucks the beaker
onto the unit firmly. After completion of the mixing
procedure, press again the turning-pushing knob
to switch off the vacuum pump. Please hold tight
the beaker during this step because immediately
after pressure equalization it will fall off the device.
