TRANSPORT
The machine has been properly packed in the factory to allow transport it easily with manual fork-lift trucks or
trans-palettes. (For weight and other dimensions, see picture of technical characteristics in point 8 of this manual).
Once unpacked, the machine can easily be moved since it has wheels.
3. PLUGGING THE MACHINE TO ELECTRICITY
Before plugging the vacuum-cleaner into electricity, please make sure the electrical connection has an earth
protection.
Make also sure to connect the machine to the adequate voltage. (See characteristics plate).
The machine must be connected to a stream source equipped with an overload protection of at least 10A for model B-
50 I and 15A for model C-50 IV.
4. STARTING AND USING INSTRUCTIONS
This vacuum cleaner has been designed and manufactured to be used in professional cleaning for the
aspiration of dust and liquids according to the present manual indications. Any other use not expressively stated here
can be dangerous; therefore, SIMA, S.A. is not responsible for the possible damages caused by the bad use of the
machine.
The vacuum cleaner must be only used by authorized and instructed personnel to use it.
Safety and Hygiene norms have to be respected, especially those related to electrical engines.
Certain accessories are put inside the deposit of the machine to avoid damages during the transport. The
formers must be taken out before starting the vacuum cleaner.
Operations prior to the start-up:
Introduce the flexible tube in the mouth of the vacuum-cleaner until it gets blocked.
Check that the fitting ring is in the proper position.
Mount the suitable accessories for each use.
Any defect or damage in the material must be reported to SIMA assistance service in your area.
Never use the vacuum-cleaner for hot ash, explosive liquids nor undiluted solvent acids. It is,
especially, strictly forbidden to vacuum oil, diluents and fuel oils. These materials, once within the turbine of
the machine, can generate explosive steam. Acetone, acids and undiluted solvent liquids can corrode
materials with which the device is composed.
To vacuum clean dust, it is necessary to have a filter inside the machine. This filter should be
removed when vacuum cleaning liquids.
This machine is not to be used for foamy detergents.
Please do not clean or wash the vacuum cleaner with a water jet since the engine can be damaged if the
water enters its head.
5. SAFETY RECOMENDATIONS
• The SIMA vacuum cleaners must be used by people familiarized with their operation.
• Before starting up the machine please read the instructions and make sure safety norms are respected.
Learn how to stop the machine in a fast and safe way.
• Make sure the machine is technically in perfect state.
• Use protection glasses, safety boots and auditory protection. Use always accredited material.
• Prohibit strangers to access the place of work of the machine.
• Work clothes are not supposed to have loose articles that can cling into movable parts of the machine.
• Control, especially, the state of electrical cables, bearing in mind to immediately replace the damaged ones
for with humidity they can represent a real danger to the workers manipulating them.
