• Puttheswitchkey (A)intothe engineswitch.
• Turn theswitchkey totheSTART posiUon on the
equipment.Normallytheenginewillstartwithin3
seconds.
CAUTION
DO not run the electdc starter continuously
for more than 5 seconds, otherwise the bat-
tery may discharge quickly.
If the engine
does not start right away, wait 15 seconds
and try again.
CAUTION
Whenever you start engine, make sure warn-
ing light is not illuminated after engine starts.
If warning light comes on, stop engine imme-
diately and check oil level (if equipped).

Warming Up
After the engine starts, move the thmtUe iever (A)
on the equipment to halfway between =FAST" and
-SLOW_,
To warm up the engine, run it for 3 to 5 minutes
With _e throttle lever in the same load position
(halfway) before puttingthe equipment under load.
Then, move the throttle fever (A) on the equipment
to its "FAST"position,
CAUTION
Allow engine to warm up sufficiently
($ to 5
minutes at _dle) before applying a load. This
will allow oll to reach all engine parts, and
allow piston clearance to reach design spec.

While warming up the engine, make sure the
warning light (oil pressure) on dash is not
on. The warning light must not be iUumi-
nated during engirm operation (if equipped).
