14.7 - Fire prevention measures

Suitable extinguishing means:
All known extinguishing means.
Unsuitable extinguishing means:
None.
Dangerous combustion products:
In the event of fire, it can generate nitrogen oxide and dioxide.
Special protection means:
Use a self-contained breathing apparatus and wear suitable protective clothing.
Specific methods:
If possible, stop the outflow of product. Move away from the unit, confine the area and spray it with water from
a protected position until the container cools down.

14.8 - Measures in the event of accidental release

Personal precautions, protection devices and procedures in the event of an emergency:
evacuate the affected area; ensure adequate ventilation; access the affected area with a self-contained breathing
apparatus and wearing suitable protective clothing; prevent clothes from getting soaked with the product;
eliminate possible sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions:
try to stop the outflow; reduce the vapours with nebulised water.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: if the leak cannot be stopped, ventilate the area, keep
it clear and avoid any source of ignition until all the liquid has evaporated.

14.9 - Handling

Prevent water from entering the unit during the filling/draining stages. Only use specific appliances for the product,
temperature and operating pressure.
Do not smoke while handling the product.

14.10 - Disposal considerations

- Avoid direct discharge into the atmosphere and waterways,
- do not discharge where accumulation could be dangerous or in areas with a risk of forming explosive mixtures
with air,
- the gas should be disposed of through a suitable torch with an anti-back fire device,
- the toxic and corrosive gases formed during combustion should be reduced before being released into the
atmosphere.
