5.8 REMOTE CONTROL FOR THE VOLUME (CHANNEL 5)
The volume may be adjusted using the supplied remote control. Please observe during installation that the remote control line shouldn't be routed along
the same side of the vehicle as the power supply cables (ref. section 4.2). The remote control unit should be mounted on the dashboard or at any other
easily accessible position.

POWER SUPPLY AND REMOTE-ON CONNECTIONS
(1) GND terminal for chassis (connect to battery minus)
(2) REM (Remote) terminal for REMOTE-ON function
(3) +12 V power in terminal
(4) Battery
(5) Fuse integrated in power cable
(6) To the automatic antenna connection terminal of your receiver unit.
If your receiver doesn't have an automatic antenna terminal connect this cable to the positive terminal (+) of the ignition lock. If you use this configuration
it is also advisable to connect an ON/OFF switch between the two ends of the cable, and remember to set this switch to the OFF position when you
are not using the amplifier.
FIG. 2 5-CHANNEL OPERATION / STEREO SYSTEM WITH ACTIVE 3-WAY CROSSOVER NETWORK

(2) from car radio, right output
(3) left tweeter
(4) right tweeter
(5) left medium speaker
(6) right medium speaker
(7) woofer
In combination with a stereo car radio, this amplifier can be used to set up an active 3-way system. Such a system uses 1 woofer, 2 medium speakers, and
2 tweeters. The necessary connections and adjustments are shown in figure 2.
The upper cross-over frequency of the woofer must be the same as the lower cross-over frequency of the medium speaker. Similarly, the upper cross-over
frequency of the medium speaker must be the same as the lower cross-over frequency of the tweeter. This means that the cross-over frequencies are set
in a manner that there are no gaps in frequency coverage between woofer, medium speaker, and tweeter. Please observe the specifications issued by the
speaker manufacturers in order to prevent overloading the medium speakers and tweeters. These speakers may be damaged by operating them below
their recommended lower cut-off frequency.
FIG. 3 5-CHANNEL OPERATION WITH 4 SATELLITE SPEAKERS AND A SUBWOOFER
(1) from car radio, front left output
(2) from car radio, front right output
(3) from car radio, rear left output
(4) from car radio, rear right output
(5) satellite speaker, front left
(6) satellite speaker, front right
(7) satellite speaker, rear left
(8) satellite speaker, rear right
(9) woofers
If the amplifier shall be driven by a car radio with 4 output channels in order to drive 4 satellite speakers and 1 subwoofer the input signal of channels 3
and 4 will also be used to drive channel 5. The required connections and settings are shown in figure 3.
FIG. 4 5-CHANNEL OPERATION WITH A CAR RADIO WITH A DEDICATED SUBWOOFER OUTPUT

(6) satellite speaker, front right
(7) satellite speaker, rear left
(8) satellite speaker, rear right
(9) woofer
(10) woofer
(11) from car radio, subwoofer output
If the amplifier shall be driven by a car radio with 5 output channels (4 satellite outputs and 1 subwoofer output) in order to drive 4 satellite speakers and 1
or 2 subwoofers then carry out all connections and settings as shown in figure 4.
