Preparation of the In-Line Blower
This blower is supplied with 8 fastener
locations, 4 on the outlet hole , 4 on the inlet
hole side.
In-line blower MUST be fixed using one of the
4 series fastener locations to fix the blower to
the floor, ceiling or new or existing frame
construction.
Use work gloves when installing.
Check that:
a. Once positioned and mounted duct from
range hood and to the outside are straight as
much as possible.
b. Floor, ceiling or structure must be strong
enough to support the weight of the blower.
c. Conduit and 10" ducts (one from the range
hood, the other one to the outside) reach the
in-line blower.
d. WARNING: Check installation position so
that once installed, the blower motors axes
work in horizontal.
1. Preparation of the range hood:

Warning: Turn off power circuit at the
service panel before wiring this unit.
120 VAC, 15 or 20 Amp circuit required.
Facing the front of the range hood, remove
the right knockout and the Junction box cover
and install the conduit connector (cULUS) in
junction box.
From the inside of the hood, remove
knockout to access the same junction box.
Insert the molex plug supplied with the in-line
blower so to that it snaps to the internal
motor wallside (see drawing for correct
installation)

Install a conduit (cULUS) long enough to
reach the junction box of the In-line blower
once this has been installed.
Run wires long enough to reach the In-line
blower junction box:
Colors and # of the wires must be the same
as molex plug supplied with the in-line
blower.
Wire sizes must conform to the requirements
of the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70
— latest edition*, or CSA Standards C22.1-
94, Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 and
C22.2 No. 0-M91 - latest edition** and all
local codes and ordinances.
